Tea as the Catalyst for Uplifting our Community

Tea as the Catalyst for Uplifting our Community

From the very inception of Rise Yaupon, we have been intentional about supporting people in our community who are often overlooked and under appreciated.  We truly believe that tea CAN be a mechanism for good, and are committed to practicing what we preach.

Today is the International Day of Charity - and we thought it would be a perfect day to highlight the charitable aspects of our business.

We have pledged $1 from every retail pouch sold to go towards a local organization - we hope to expand our reach, but for now we support FBH Community - they have 3 arms of their organization that help people in Volusia and Flagler Counties:

Collectively, they fight homelessness, food insecurity and poverty.

Food Brings Hope:

This organization targets homeless and food insecure children in the Volusia and Flagler school system.  They provide meal packages for the kids and their families as well as educational after-school programs to help break the cycle of poverty.  Sadly, over 2,600 children in our school system are experiencing homelessness.

VCAN:

Volusia Can - this part of the FBH Community is the safety net for people who may have fallen through the cracks of other services and just need that simple (one-time) hand up.  Residents can call their hotline and get assistance - anything from food, diapers, childcare, emergency housing, sheets for the kids... They use their network to help resolve the urgent issue for local families.

Homes Bring Hope:

This arm of FBH Community aims to break the cycle of poverty, specifically generational poverty by helping people become first-time homeowners.

100% of Food Brings Hope overhead is paid for by the Hosseini Family Foundation!
100% of donations benefit local families in need.

Rise Yaupon is an inclusive organization and we participate in local Pride Celebrations.  At these events, we donate $1 per unit sold to JASMYN, a Jacksonville-based non-profit organization that supports and empowers LGBTQ+ teens that are experiencing homelessness.
